Stephanie Borrowdale, Esq.
Stephanie Borrowdale received her Bachelor of Arts in 2009 from the University of San Diego, with a double major in International Relations and Spanish. She obtained her Juris Doctorate (cum laude) from California Western School of Law in April 2015, where she was the recipient of the Dean’s Diversity Scholarship, Academic Merit Scholarship, and was a member of the Pro Bono Honor’s Society and the Public Service Honor’s Society. In addition, Ms. Borrowdale was on the Dean’s List and earned an Academic Achievement Award in Español Para Abogados, Torts II, and the Clinical Internship Seminar.
During law school, Ms. Borrowdale interned at the San Diego Family Law Facilitator’s Office, and worked as a certified legal intern in the San Diego Alternate Public Defender’s Office and the San Diego County District Attorney’s Office. Ms. Borrowdale also participated in California Western’s Clinical Internship Program, working in the area of family law. Additionally, Ms. Borrowdale also worked as a Teacher’s Assistant and Honor’s Instructor, assisting first-year students in their legal research and writing courses.
Ms. Borrowdale joined Mesnik Law Group in January 2016 as an associate attorney focusing exclusively on family law matters such as divorce, legal separation, paternity and parentage actions, child custody and visitation, step-parent adoption, property division, mediation, and restraining orders.
Before attending law school, Ms. Borrowdale worked with USD’s Trans-Border Institute, managing a three-year grant from the United States Agency for International Development that focused on oral advocacy and legal education in Baja California, Mexico.
Ms. Borrowdale is fluent in Spanish.
